I have had the machine since may but have only just taken it out of it's box to use. now I have to wait till monday before I can ring up to find out what is wrong. GRRRR

I used to have QBOT and with the machine and QBOT you not only press the GO on the QBOT but you have to press the START on the sewing machine, too, if I remember right. If that doesn't work then I'd hazard a guess that you've got something wired wrong.

If you go to Yahoo.com......and search for QBOT you will find a forum just for the QBOT users. There's another kind of mechanical QBOT out there, ignore those. I think I put in "QBOT, Quilt" and got the right one.....they could help you a LOT!

it's a Brother quilting machine not sure of the model it is in the workshop outside, I can't see a start button the QBOT plugs into the port where the foot pedal goes on the machine so I asumed it worked from there.

it is acting really weird, it hovers over the material as if it is sewing but not stitching just going thru the motions then when it reaches the end it stitches in one place and wont stop till I turn of the machine, also it starts from the right I thought it was supposed to start from the left so I changed the wires around didn't make any difference, plus the green light flashes all the time till I move the QBOT to another position as in more upright then it stops flashing till I program it then it often wont respond when I press go. I am ready to pull my hair out.

We have used a Qbot system for 3 years now, and in our honest opinion it was the worst investment we made for our shop. We have had NUMEROUS troubles with it from the start. The master control has been replaced three times now, mostly because the press pad on the front of the control malfuntions. We have been told they no longer make the Qbot system also. From what I interpret from your description, as far as it "going through the motions" but the machine not sewing, on some machines when using the Qbot, if the presser foot lever is in the "UP" position, the machine will not sew when you press "go" on the Qbot. As to it starting from the right instead of the left, some machines require you to go into the "Settings" on the Qbot control, and change the X and Y axis settings. We had to change our settings for our machine from +1 to -1, or vica versa. I would recomend talking to Liten Up Technologies Inc. in Lake Forest Illinois (847-918-8270). They have a tech support that can advise you as to what to do, and whether your machine is compatible with the Qbot, or if you'll need to get a different Stitch regulator compatible for your machine and the Qbot. The BIG question will be how much they will charge you for a new stitch regulator if you need it.

I looked up on the wbsite and found i had to move a lever now the machine works. I did one run on a bit of material /sandwich and it went from right to left. DH may have put the wires on wrong will check tomorrow. then I did another run went to cook breakfast came back and it had torn the material from one end to the other, not sure what happened did the pattern but basicly punched it out and didn't stitch. so glad it was a test piece and not a real quilt
