So excited about the quilting classes I have signed up for, starting this Sat.
I am a newbie. Loving it so far but have so much to learn. So starting Saturday I am taking the following classes:
Sat - morning - twister pattern class
Sat afternoon - Machine quilting class
Tuesday nights beginning in Nov for 6 weeks - Quilting 101
Monday Nov 19 - Hand quilting class
Sat. Nov 17 longarm class
Busy month - but what fun is in store!

I don't want to be a party pooper or squash your enthusiasm. I think it's wonderful you are so excited about learning to quilt, but if I were you, I'd get all of the Quilting 101 classes completed before attempting the others. I'm afraid you may become discouraged before getting all the quilting basics under your belt. Then go, enjoy, have fun. And post your work here so we can all ooh and aah over them.

The only one I would possibly forgo at this time would be the long arm class and it was a gift from my daughter, so I am going, learn a little have some fun. Anytime I am learning more about something I am passionate about, I can't be bad.

My LQS was offering a class pass (Pay one price and take all the classes you want). I signed up for several classes over 3 seasons. Now I have about 15 UFO's. It was fun and I met a lot of new friends. Meeting people who quilt was one of the motives for taking so many classes. They didn't offer the class pass this time, so I can get some of my UFO's finished. Good luck with your classes, the Twister class was fun and the quilt is nice and colorful. Let us see some of your projects. I don't know how to post pictures, so I can't show any of my work.
