stained glass patterns

I was searching ebay for a Boston Terrier applique pattern and it brought up tons of lovely patterns for stained glass. Does anyone use stained glass patterns to create applique pictures? If so is there any tricks I should know about to change from stained glass to fabric applique?

I've used the stained glass patterns to make pot holders using the sateen stitch to outline all the lines. Did a dog and a cat with tincel bright in between layers so the designs show on both sides.

Should be no problem, just add your seam allowance if you do needle turn or leave as is for machine raw edge applique. I also use regular patterns for stained glass quilts. Just draw your pattern on fusible, cut out pieces, explode your pattern to allow for the leading.
