Steam iron without auto shutoff
Well, I just plugged in my iron and it smoked and died! Of course I haven't another one to replace it. Does anyone know of a resonably priced steam iron without a auto shutoff.......I don't like auto shutoff on my iron because it's never ready when I am.

I bought my Rival Steam Iron at WallyWorld for less than $10 about two years ago or so. I think the price may be $12 now. It does not have auto shutoff, so be sure to remember to unplug it when you finish for the day. It's also small and lightweight.

That is WHY I prefer the auto shut off. I let my piecing build up until I need to press then after I have finished, I shut it off. I forgot one time to shut it off. Boy, am I delighted with Auto shut off. I am very forgetful now a days and that is one less thing I need to worry about.

I solved the problem of the iron being left on. I plug it into a power strip that also has my lamp plugged into it. Now I know if the light is off, the iron is off. No more worrying when I leave the house.
