Been looking through lots of photo's on the site and one of the things I noted over and over is that pretty much everyone folds their stash.
Except me apparently.
I hang mine. I use the "skirt" hangers with the grippers and have several pieces (sorted by color) on one hanger, and several hangers in the closet.
I suspect this will only work until I run out of A) hangers (have already asked co-workers for donations), and B) length of rod in the closet.
Pictured are just some of them. I pushed most aside so you could actually see them. Some I still have folded. These are mostly FQ and smaller yardage. Larger yardage I'll probably fold onto a pants hanger.

You could get another rod and hang it on two chains to lower it, so that way you could have two rows of fabrics. Some people do this for hanging two layers of blouses, or kids' clothes. Doubles your hanging space.

Law I'd almost kill for just one closet that size. This old house has a coat closet that is 3' X 3' X 16"...the bedroom closets and there are two are only a foot longer. Gotta fold them in small quarters. Lucky you! But good question, ya know.
