strippy binding question...

I am not sure if I understand what you are asking, but I am thinking that you want a binding that has a variety of fabrics in it?
I would decide how much of each color I want. I would join my pieces together with a diagonal seam. Press the seams open, fold wrong side together and apply to quilt as usual.
The reason you want to join on a diagonal and then press open is to avoid having bulk wherever the colors join.
You might type "making quilt binding" into the search engine and search through the lists for good pictures of what I am trying to explain <g>
welcome, by the way <wave>

This is one of the best sites for teaching I have seen.
Enjoy!
Take the lesson you want, but be sure to go to the quiltville Home so you can peruse this lady's other gifts to us.

If you mean a strip pieced binding, here are instructions for making a bias cut one. http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/techni...nding_ss1.html
You can also do it on the straight of grain. http://books.google.com/books?id=5YG...inding&f=false They both make great looking bindings.
