Suggestions for wording on label for Wedding Quilts?
#1
Just curious as to what others have put on labels for quilts they've made for weddings? I have 2 quilts to finish for April weddings & have someone who will be machine embroidering them for me. I need to finalize my wording & would like some input from others.
Here's what I have so far:
Made Especially For

I like
Date of marriage
Brides first name and Grooms first and last name
Name of Quilt (if there is a name)
Your name
EXAMPLE:
On June 7, 2002
Deanna and Charles Bishop became One
Double Wedding Ring
Made with love, Aunt Betty Capps

All of the above.
I would include...the run run line! How cute and funny!!
I once heard that it's important to include the city, state and county on the quilt. The county is important as over time cities have come and gone or merged with other cities. There can also be multiple cities with the same name in the same state, with the only difference being the county of location.
I would include your title and name, like Aunt Susie, but then below that include your full name with middle initial.
Be sure to include the bride's full maiden name. You might want
to make a copy of their wedding annoucement, print out on fabric and attach to the back of the quilt.

Plus then you dont have to stress the question of is she taking his last name, keeping hers or hyphenating
