Has anyone done a hidden wells super scrappy style? I've only seen pictures of it with a few different colors. It looks cool with just a few colors.

I have a ton of long strips that I want to get used up and was thinking of doing this pattern, but I have a wide variety of fabrics/colors.

I have and I like the way it turned out. I just used leftover strips from other projects. I don't have a picture of the quilt, because I made it as a gift for a friend and it is with her. The pictures here are of a wall hanging I made form the blocks that were leftover from the Hidden Wells quilt I made for my friend.
This is a really fun technique and I did use the tutorial from moosestashquilting.blogspot. Joan's tutorial is really good.

I have done the Hidden Wells and really like the pattern. Of course you could do it scrappy, but may lose some of the design elements. If you were careful to use darks and lights in the proper sequence, you would probably be ok. I would personally find it difficult to do that because my head isn't always on straight, but I think if you take your time and work it out, you can do it! Good luck, and I hope to see a photo soon!!
