I am impressed. That is really pretty. Love your colors. I have always wanted to do one of those quilts but even after all these years quilting, I still find that pattern intimidating. Good job. Happy that you tackeled it again. You'll be so proud of yourself when it's completed.

My heart aches for you -- and yes, I have been in your shoes. More than once. I think the advice you received to figure out exactly what you did wrong before doing anything else is important. Take it to a quilt shop if you have to. Once you know what you did so you don't do it again, dumping it is a possibility. I've done it, more than once. There just didn't seem to be any purpose in finishing something I didn't like and wasn't proud of. Like you (I assume) I am pretty much self taught and figured these large-scale goofs were just part of the learning process. Please don't get discouraged. Quilting IS creative and fun and satisfying (except when it isn't).
