Tin Lizzie 18

What sort of experience have you had with this particular machine? I've seen some complaints about Tin Lizzies, but other people seem to love them. If you were to buy one used, how much would you be willing to pay for one?
Sorry for so many questions--I'm off to work and haven't had time to search this morning. Thanks in advance.

I love my Tin Lizzie 18, it's the old style heavy one. I bought Lizzie second hand from a gal who lives about an hour from me. We rented a van to take it home. She had taken it for service and I got to try it before buying. The machine works great, I did have to learn alot about using a longarm and careing for my machine. There is a Tin Lizzie group and a quilting systems group on yahoo. I can recomend them both for info and advise. I saved my money for a long time to buy Lizzie, I paid $4600 two years ago. I have always been glad I bought her.

I love, love, love my Tin Lizzie. I have the Lizzie eighteen..she moved in 2.5 years ago and has never given me a moments problem. Hubby and I tried every machine out on the market for 2 years and we decided on the Lizzie. I call directly to Ernie the owner and his cohorts for any questions. The service is great. I have one suggestion. If you are buying one new...go to a show that the owners are there..and buy directly from them. I feel that the service is better.

Love My Lizzie, Bought her from "Needle and Thread" in NC. They drove to WV set it up and Tereasa made me do a whole quilt before she would leave, to make sure I knew what I was doing. They are the best people. 6500.00 new + 500 to come set up and train me. I looove Lizzie Lou. She is my new best friend!
(I name all my machines) LOL
