I just finished the piecing on my first quilt top (thought I did). It’s just charms sewn together, nothing fancy. It’s for a Cal King bed. I made it 16 charms wide X 15 charms long. Once on the bed, hubby thinks I should forgo the border and just add more charms and a binding. Is this “okay” to do?
I do think it will look just fine with no border.

There are a surprising number of quilts out there without borders! If it looks good, go for it. Just remember to handle it carefully around the edges when you're quilting it.
Here's a scrappy-looking (actually it's about 30 fabrics) quilt I made with no borders. You can just see the binding on the side that's hanging over the bed, it's dark brown.
