traditional or art Quilts???
#21
I'm a non-traditional quilt artist and, like Klue, I believe all quilts are art. I find it much more rewarding to come up with my own style and interpretation of even the most traditional quilt patterns, but more often than not, my designs are inspired by abstract art works of the early 20th century or based on optical illusion/dimensional concepts.
I do use traditional piecing methods, I just prefer not to remake what someone else has already done. As a 12th generation New Englander, however, I have an enormous appreciation for all styles of traditional and antique quilts.

Colouring books are a great source for pictures, but you can also get them on the net and print them out.... just google something along the lines of "kids colouring pages". There are millions of downloadable pictures from cartoons and muppets, etc, to butterflys, flowers, and animals. :-)

First of all, I love the sesame characters, they are adorable!
Secondly, I think I am going to have to ask others to help me out in saying what kind of quilter that I am, because I have no idea what to call myself other than nuts!
