Had a little free time yesterday afternoon, so headed to our local "Tuesday Morning" store. Was amazed to find two large shelves filled with crafty type books. Lots of quilting books, knitting, crocheting, felting, beading, all kinds of topics. And nicely priced, many $5.99. I spent the evening beginning to read the 4 new books I bought. Also found a set of Mundial titanium dressmaker shears, smaller scissors and thread snips for $7.99! I needed new snips, which are nearly that much by themselves. They had FQs, probably 6 in a bundle, for $7.99. Nice for stash building and appeared decent quality. (I didn't need more fabric!) Worth a visit if you have a TM store nearby.

On a slightly different topic...Many yrs ago, (mid 60's) my family had an English exchange student. She was from Rolleston (sp?) on Dove, in Staffordshire. Sadly, she is deceased, but she had a daughter who is named after me. Hope someday to be able to visit and perhaps find the daughter.
Happy New Year to you also Annie!

MY TM had a shelf or two with crafty stuff but the day I went in I was in a hurry and couldn't browse long. I'm very fortunate that we have numerous second hand stores in town. A few friends and I are going to make the rounds one day after the kids go back to school ... next week they'll be back to school ....
