Turning Twenty
#1
I was looking at the Turning Twenty pattern on e-bay then noticed that there were quite a few patterns/books with the same theme by the same designer and was wondering if anyone had made any of these or had any views on which leaflet/book was the best. I know we all have different tastes but would like your input.

Maxie, if you click on SEARCH at the top of the quiltingboard page (next to Random Topics) you can type in Turning Twenty and find there are lots of pics, etc from those who have done this pattern.

I have the turning twenty again and I think my mom has turning twenty, or its the opposite. If I remember right (if I am wrong please correct me board) the again pattern has more little pieces. And it even has more pieces per block than the original turning twenty.
I bought the pattern to use with the Paris Cats fabric line by Benertax but after deep consideration decided I didn't want to cut the fabric into such small pieces so I am using a pattern called Sweet Sixteen instead.
Hope this helps

You are welcome!
Is that a picture of your home this year or last? It looks charming! Wish I could visit.
We have had very cold temps and now warm, humid, rainy and foggy the last few days. My hair is a disaster. Sinuses are worse.
I wonder if England would be a good change? LOL

That is a photo of my home taken a couple of years ago, though it could have been a fortnight ago as we had a good covering of snow, you may fair better over hear, we dont do humid, the air is very crisp and fresh in the winter most times, though it is forcast to be a bit warmer tomorrow.
Know what you mean about hair, I keep mine long, can just about sit on it, so I can just pin it up and forget it. I never wear it down, too old for that.

I have made the turning twenty again pattern. It was very quick and easy. Went together really fast. Personally, I like using a little bit smaller pieces in my quilts. The "again" pattern does have a few more and smaller pieces than the original. I have seen several of the others, but havn't made them.

Even in this one, the pieces are still pretty large.

The pattern and the fabric are in a rubbermaid container waiting patiently to be made :P
One thing I did notice when looking at the directions for the sweet sixteen it is not the simple strip piecing that you use in say a yellow brick road.
