ok, was that cryptic enough 8-)
Just this week I have purchased two vintage machines, a 301A and a 201-2. While fondling my new toys I have found numbers, almost in day-month-year fashion in hidden spots on both of these machines.
On the first one, I thought maybe a service center dated some work they did but when I found the same style of numbering on the second machine....???
Both machines were purchased 150 miles apart, the odds that they were in the same service shop is a bazillion to one as I live in the Seattle area.
Anyway, on the 301A number is under top cap written on metal. It's written exactly as: 6-22-7
On the 201-2 is written on the plated head cover (?) as:
4-29-7
Anyone have any thoughts on these numbers? I'm baffled.
