Wow--you've all been hard at work. I didn't do any quilting yesterday. Met my mother for lunch yesterday and we did visited for a couple hours. But it was a 2 hour drive each way for lunch so there went my day! I hadn't seen her since September so it was great to visit in person. Today I'm sandwiching three quilts and doing some wool applique. It's a gorgeous day here. Wonderful to have blue skies and sunshine. We're waiting for a pizza delivery--the lunch of soup was not sufficient! After supper, I'm going to work on wool applique again. Tomorrow after church I'll start quilting the charity quilts. Fortunately they're lap size; I'm just going to do a simple stipple on them. Bindings are already made

Saturday Update
Got off to a slow start today, just now started piecing my niece's quilt and getting the rows together. Took my fiancé and I about twenty minutes of moving blocks around to finally get the layout the way that I wanted. Please excuse the fuzziness of the picture, it's hard to take one when your arms are up over your head. Also excuse the look of that green board under it, that's how we extend my island in the kitchen to work on quilts, haven't gotten around to figure out what to do with them to make them look better.
Four rows are done, going to take an extended break so we can play some Halo and have some dinner soon. I've got little black threads everywhere, he found one stuck in my hair just a little while ago, lol.

QuiltingVagabond,, love your Patriotic quilt.
Railroadersbrat, neat pattern, I think I can see the block, I am excited to see your finished quilt. Love the black background, really makes your colors pop.
Friday I sewed in the AM, then I did deliveries to two stores I will be selling items in this summer, hoping for lots of sales.
I went with my DFIL this AM to help him pick out his hanging flowers. I was more then happy to pick out flowers with him. He came home with 9 hanging baskets and some six packs for his planter. He was happy, which makes me happy.
I then came home and made up my baskets and planters, garden won't be until the end of the month. Full moon is 5/26, so chance of frost is still a potential for us, planters and baskets can be moved into our shed, but garden will be planted next weekend or Memorial weekend, I have plenty of row cover if I end up planting this weekend. Then the ol' lawn mower came out for a quick mowing.
I am hoping to do some sewing tomorrow, hoping to work on some jelly roll rugs. I finished 8 jelly roll table runners this week, patriotic themed. Lots of things planned in my head, now to just get them out and made up.
Looking forward to checking in again tomorrow and seeing what everyone has been working on. One of the things I noticed when reading through the posts, lots of baby quilts being worked on. I have wondered if the Covid pandemic will generate another "babyboomer" type generation.

It was a very good day for me, the 2013 UFO is sandwiched and finally dry. The pots we picked up last week are in the raised beds and tomorrow we can plant the seeds. I think I will do a widely spaced meander for the quilting tomorrow. I will also try and get both bindings made. Time for the fire pit and relaxing.

Amazing! So fresh and spring-y!
Y'all are working on great stuff!
Can hardly wait to get back to quilting, but I've got to get these bags and wallets finished and my house needs dusting so badly, I think I heard it sneezing, today.

It's 1:30am now, just finished piecing my niece's quilt! All that's left to do is put the border on and that will be tomorrow. Still nervous about it, lol.
G'night - see everyone tomorrow, er, later today, lol

Friday I finished 13 blocks of a Cat's Cradle simplified and mathed out how many more I would need. 25....so 12. I purchased someone's destash and it had (among others) 3 yards of white with green flowers and 2 yards of a green with white flowers. The patterns are terribly old fashioned and not to my taste at all....but when I put them together even I have to admit the cuteness. The adventure will be do I have enough leftover after the blocks to put it on point?
And now that the child is back in school 5 days we are going thru masks .... So gotta make more...in patterns appropriate for a 14 introverted boy.
