Today, I started a jelly roll rug. It should make a good welcome mat by my front door. Tomorrow, I get to cut apart the strips and start sewing them together.

Ohhhh.Qltnmom, love the colors for your rug. Have fun, they are a blast to make, can't wait to see it. Not sure if I'll get to my machine or not, hopefully.

I don't think I will be working on a quilt this weekend. I brought home two dresses to put zippers in and to hem. Tomorrow I will spend the day altering costumes. If I put in the time this weekend I can get two free tickets to see Young Frankenstein at a local community theater.

Love seeing all the pictures and all your hard work.

Yes, Battle Axe, I'm doing Baskets Blooms and Birds also. But, probably not this weekend. I am working on a charity quilt that is also Drunkard's Path blocks. Have to make 32 more blocks and put together. Also, I am going to work on Good Fortune. That has languished. If the weather improves, I will work outside and get garden ready to plant.

Well, today has been a productive day! I finished one of the tops I and pieced a second baby quilt. It's actually an "oops" quilt because I made the blocks wrong for the pattern and then decided just to make them into something anyway! I started laying out the second top on my design wall so can start piecing that in morning.

    Boston1954--cute name for your quilt!

    NZquilter--your appliqued bears are adorable.

Battle Axe and quilt9226--I thought about doing the Birds, Blooms and Baskets BOM but decided I had enough going on. Will be anxious to see how yours turn out.

QuiltingVagabond, have a great time in Shipshewana!

And you're welcome! I get so much done usually on these VQW so always glad to get one started

I jumped ahead on the Baskets, Birds and Blooms. I just got such a kick out of that blooms block that I made all 6 this weekend. So fun to make sure you get the right fabrics out of the stash so that the block pops.

I'm having tomorrow's breakfast with a kid who will probably fix my new phone and I can get a picture on this board. Let's hope.

I’m in as much as possible. Thank you for hosting. I finished the WAYG blocks for the purple jigsaw puzzle quilt. Now to just tie my knots, square them, sew the last three rows... I hope to finish that this evening and put the back and binding on tomorrow.

I just found y'all! I'll be around this weekend. I'm working on putting a UFO top together. It's Winding Ways blocks. I'm going to add a skinny black border around the center of WW blocks, and then add a piano key border of the same fabrics as the center. If I don't have enough, they may just be squares, rather than piano keys.

I also have a backlog of quilt tops to quilt, and several blocks that I just got back from the Boom swap that need to be QAYG.

    Plenty to do!

It sounds like everyone has been busy today and has a good start on projects.

I have sandwiched one of the 5 quilt tops I have and tied it and attached the binding. I have two sides to hand stitch and it will be done! These are small kids' quilts for donation. I plan to finish it tomorrow and sandwich the 2nd one.
