Virtual Quilting Weekend -- March 3 to March 6, 2016
I've decided to start VQW a day early this month. We didn't have one last month and I thought maybe some of use might be anxious to get going! I have several quilt tops that are waiting to be quilted and bound. Hopefully I'll get a couple of them done. I have some small projects I would like to do but want to finish up some WIPs first I hope lots of you are able to join in this weekend. Please let us know what you're working on and share pictures if you would like to.
If anyone has any questions, just ask!

That sounds good to me. I have a quilt I would like to finish this weekend. The pattern is Ashleigh. I have the center pieces all sewn. I need to square up the half square triangles and sew the rows together. After that, sew on 3 borders. I can do most of that, but I am waiting to receive one of the borders in the mail. This is what I have so far:

I always get life's little distractions on VQW. I hope to get some time this weekend to work on my borders for the Bitty Block quilt. I got carried away with those little blocks and it is longer than I planned so I am still pondering border options. I guess I better go home and clean house today so I can sew all weekend.

I'll be quilting my last UFO quilt top, a bargello I designed using the free BargelloSketcher program I found online. Its 100 x 106 so not small by any means. Right now I'm marking the rows as I'll be using an E2E pattern I found online. I'l be so glad when I can say ........"I have no UFOs". Of course I've already filled my bookcase with 13 new projects for this year. Still working on Quiltville's mystery, a BOM Sangria at my local fabric store and a logcabin diamond pattern from one of our own members here.

Some batiks again were donated at my senior center so out of 100 HSTs, I am trying to make a baby quilt from a pattern on this quilter's blog:

I was trying to figure out how to do a chevron but was afraid I wouldn't have enough triangles of the same fabric. I like the challenge of trying to finish someone else's UFO not that I don't already still have my own to work on.
