Walking foot quilting bar ?
Should the quilt bar fit snugly in the walking foot's hole or are they supposed to slide. I think mine may not fit right as it changes position while quilting and even falls out. The walking foot I have doesn't have a place for a tightening screw or anything of that nature.

See if you can rubber band it somehow so it won't slip. Wrap it around the bar so that it won't go farther into the foot, then wrap the rest around the top of the foot so that it won't slip the other way. Or if the bar goes all the way thru, you can loop on one end and over to the other, and that way it won't move. Hope you can understand what I am describing. Sometimes things get lost in the translation.

Are you talking about a bar that allows you to follow a row of stitching to space the quilting? I have similar bars for my Bernina but they have a liitle screw that locks it in place. or are you talking about the bar that is supposed to go by the needle screw when attaching the foot? That bar has to be in place for the foot to move properly.

Thanks for the replies.
yngldy-I understand your description perfectly! It does go all the way through so I will try that.
Tartan-I am talking about the first bar you mention but mine doesn't have a place for a screw to tighten down.
