Wall Hanging Ideas Using Jelly Roll Strips
I just finished a single Irish Chain king size quilt using the Island Batiks jelly rolls. I have alot of strips left over and I want to make a wall hanging to use them up. I have hunted for patterns but just can't find anything that trips my trigger. Somewhere I saw something using strips up and down and some fabric cut into 2 1/2 squares. Does anyone have any suggestions? Since I have a variety of colors in the quilt blocks, I thought a wall hanging could compliment the quilt but did not want to use the same pattern (Irish chain). My background fabric was white with a grey swirl and I have a little left over but not a great lot. Any ideas would be appreciated. I would like to keep the wall hanging to about 36 inches or so for size, not any larger anyway.

You are right, there is not much under wall hanging size except for a twist on the Lone Star. You can really make any of these quilts but just in a smaller size. I have a little less than half a strips left from my Island Chain quilt pattern. I liked this pattern the best:

This on on Craftsy may be what you are describing. It's pretty cute. I've also seen it in white with more separation between the rows, white in between, and really liked that. Very modern looking.

I just finished a Strip Twist (pattern free on Quiltville.com) and the 'optical illusion' of diamonds in it would make an awesome wall quilt in batiks. This is the one I made, but imagine how pretty it could be in your batiks. The center panel on mine measures 33"x 44" using 2" strips, but you can easily make it smaller by using one less row and column of blocks.

You could just make tumbler blocks or one from this site. I also really like the flower blocks.
