What do you wish your sewing machine would do?

These thoughts have been going through my mind this weekend.
I wish, I wish, my machine would
1. kindly step the needle over all pins it's sewing over
2. alert me somehow exactly when the bobbin runs out
3. Whisper "You're doing great!" every now and then to encourage me.
And you?

Warn me in advance before there is a issue with tension, bobbin running out of thread, jaming etc.
No computer, embroidry all the designs in the world
Dependable
Never have to mess with tension again
threads the machine and bobbin by itself.

I wish mine would learn to take bottom thread from spools instead of bobbins.
I wish it would read my mind when I run into things that don't quite look like I'd envisioned.
Grow a feeler that would automatically sew set distances from edges without changing feet.

Alert me when the bobbin is going to run out.
I love my machine. It threads the needle for me. :-)
I don't sew over pins any longer. I thought I broke my expensive sewing machine once because of a pin. At that time I had only had it for a couple of months. Not going through that sick feeling again. :? :-)

wow, what creative answers. my favorite is my machine talking to me. wow, what if we could tell our machines about our project and it gave us helpful info before we got into trouble...like: are you sure you want to do that? (sew to wrong side, etc.) and the encouragement thing would be great too. non-quilters have no idea what we go through to make them gifts of love. c

I wish my machine always sewed a perfect 1/4" seam (not the sorry one I sew!!)
I wish my machine quilted perfect even-length free motion stitches every time (because I cannot afford the fancy machine that does!!)

I would like my machine to free motion quilt easily...
I would like it to take bobbin thread from a large spool...
I think it would be cool if I could sew pieces, hands free...feed 'em and be done...
