Is this what I'm supposed to use for my glue bottle? (Applicator tip)
...or is there some other 'generic' item that will work just as well?

A lot of them don't work very well. I haven't tried these yet, but they are the current versions that Sharon Schamber sells (via her dd's Purple Daisies website):

Scroll down to the plastic glue tips.
A lot of the other tips, such as the ones you listed, are too fine for the thickness of the glue and clog up easily (and are difficult to clean). This has been my major battle with them. Which is why I invested in the above tips, but haven't used them yet to give a report. They should work better, though, because they are tapered tips instead of a long thin cylinder.
