I have purchased several different irons and none seem to last more than a year. I purchased one that I thought was an expensive iron.....Did not last but 18 months. Wal/Mart would not replace or refund........Waiting to hear from the company.
What iron would you suggest? I only use my iron for quilting projects.......
Thanks for your help.

I have two Panasonics, one cordless and one with a cord. Love them both and had them at least five years. Now the cordless does not get used as often because I have it to iron clothing - and I don't usually have to iron clothes!

I have the Black& Decker classic iron from about 10 yrs ago. nice and heavy. Have purchased two more from thrift stores, another B&D classic and a 1940's travel iron for piecing. Both have very high temp and press on the first pass. Have used the light ones and I don't like them at all.
