I went to Joann's and purchased the OttLite Lamps (2 in the package). One is a tall standing lamp and the other is a desk size lamp. The original price on the box is 249.99, it was on sale for 99.99 and I used my 25% off coupon and got it for 75.00 plus tax. Now, do you think there is a Huge Mark-up on these items or what???? If not, they would be out of business by now! I am grateful for getting it at that price tho. :hunf:

Take heart it wasn't a fashion/shoe item...there is a 600% markup on those! Some businesses only have small markups (take the book trade for example, the best a retailer can get is around 35%). Spare a thought for us Aussies....the cost of goods here is very high. Glad you got a great bargain....more $ for fabric!

NO, Ott lite is changing their bulbs and there by reducing all the OLD stock in the stores! Our Hobby lobby got rid of their old stock last year...it was amazing what I got, then I found out why..stock up on the old bulbs while you can find them!
