What pattern would you use
Hi all. I must confess I am one of those people that start my day reading QB, but never-rarely ever post.I love and admire all the beautiful quilts everyone makes and all the wonderful advice so freely given. I am hoping someone will be able to help me figure out something with this wonderful fabric. I look at it almost daily and love it but it also makes me sad that I've had it for over 3 years and haven't done anything with it yet. There is 5 yards of the print and about 3 yards of the purple. I'm open to adding possibly the pink or a taupe but that still doesn't help me with determining a pattern. All suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. If there were two I would want to do a Boxed Squares. I wonder if that would be something you'd like to try. Or are you looking for something a bit more complicated than that?

Those fabrics are scrumptious! I did a purple and white Night and Day quilt using the paper pieced pattern at http://www.quilterscache.com/N/NightandDayBlock.html. Please perform your own fabric calculations but I think it took less than three yards of two colors to make the center (I did a 4X5 block layout of 12" blocks. It was a total of 20 blocks for a center of 48" X 60"). Then, I added three borders taking the final size to 69" X 81". I'd play with the purple and print to the right for the blocks themselves and then play with combinations of your fabric to the left along with other fabrics for the borders. . (please abide by Terms and Conditions of Use when using patterns from quilterscache. :-) )
Good luck with your new quilt. Whatever you decide to make is sure to be stunning based on how beautiful those fabrics are!

Actually I'm open to all suggestions. I just want to get something made. I don't want to keep holding onto this fabric for someday and then someday doesn't happen

My concern with a D9P would be that the floral and bamboo fabrics are so close in pattern and value that they would get lost. If you aren't a pink person, what about a medium brown/taupe to pick up the other bamboo leaf.
