Last year at this time, we had a What's Next thread that lasted us all year. It was a way for some of us to keep track of all the projects we wanted to finish in the year. We could add and remove from our lists. We had a corresponding pictures thread in the pictures section as well. How about we do another one??

    Here is 2009's http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-15030-1.htm

    Here is my list:

    1. Finish the 3 D9P's for my boys. All they need is to be basted, tied, and bound.

    2. I made a lap size quilt last year for the little girl next door, my friend's daughter. I want to make 3 more for her siblings this year. With their mother being such a help to me, it's a priviledge to make them instead of a chore. I'm passing on the quilting bug!

    3. Focus quilt for this year is a 25 block sampler quilt for my wedding anniversary. This year we will be married 10 years. We never received a wedding quilt and I'd love to make one just for us. The blocks are picked, many triangle blocks, YIKES!, but with perseverance I can do it.

    4. Twin size quilt for my ill friend. She asked, in lieu of a wheelchair quilt or hospital bed quilt, if I would make her infant on a blanket he can take to college since she knows she won't be able to do it for him. I agreed, but I want to make her a hospice quilt anyway.

What are you all going to do? Planning anything new this year? New techniques or blocks you want to try? Finishing UFO's? WIP's? What are your plans?

well I just started last year so didn't have a list! this year though I do.
For 2010 here's what I want to do.
    finish quilting 10yo dd's quilt
    make
    Lapquilt for 13yodd
bed quilts for 8 yo and 5 yo ds'
    bed quilt for 13yo dd

since I hand quilt and I am not fast and these will be the first full size ones I've made I think I'll stop there! If I finish those I'll be happy and then look into another project!

Sounds like a great list. I hand quilt to, but I won't waste my good stitching on my boys' quilts. They'll be tied as will most of my lap size ones since they are also meant for children.

I would like to experiment in Table Runners this year, since I've never made one. But my bigger projects are all hand done. I'm hoping to have the top to my sampler done by June so I can spend June to December quilting it.

    Hi, what a great idea.

I am loosing my job of 13 years at the end of Jan 2010 and there is no hope of finding another for quite some time (our county's unemployment rate is 16.3).

Anyway I have tons and tons of things to keep me busy. I am very glad that I induldged in purchasing supplies, tools and kits over the last couple of years.

I have 8 quilt tops that are ready to quilt, I can load them onto the gracie frame and get them done.

I have many kits to do so I know I won't be lacking things to do. I have a huge stash so now is the time to start using it.

    Have a happy new year!
