Who Loves Vintage Fabrics?
I love all types of fabrics, but I especially love the prints from the 1920s. Who else shares a passion for vintage fabrics? What type? From what era? Any good resources?

My Dad owned a general store in the country where he also had a farm. When he would go to the warehouse to buy things for the store, my Mother would go along to pick out the feed they would use on the farm. She bought the sacks she liked the prints for her sewing. She chose the best for the store also, as the people who bought the feed shopped like going to a fabric store. Most of my little dresses were made from feed and flour sacks in the early 40's. The quilt tops made from them were so pretty.

Me, me, me....I love the vintage fabrics (and reproductions) from the 20's and 30's and also Civil War-era. My new kitchen (added to our 100+ year old house) has a 1940's feel and colors (red, white, and teal) and my 30's prints make great accessories!

Me! I love the 20's and 30's...I buy some feed sacks on E-bay from time to time. Also, I watch a couple of antique shops in the area. When I still lived in northern NJ I was lucky enough to find quite a bit in estate sales...not so much here because everyone seems to quilt!
