thrift stores and yard sales are the BEST RESOURCE for wool!!!
i literally save thousands of dollars every year purchasing wool garments, de-constructing and washing/drying--i have yards and yards of the most wonderful wools for applique/quilting and rug hooking.
there is one lqs around here that sells yardage for $25 a yard...
the wools i find are so much better than her yardage.
sites to visit;
primative gatherings
sue spargo
backyard gathering
the cotton patch quilt shoppe (in East Tawas, Mi)
