Wrights Binding
Has anyone ever used the store brought binding allready cut and ready to sew on? I believe its "Wrights" binding?
I have always made mine the traditional way but thought I would try to cut corners and try this.
I noticed its triple folded, not double folded. Guess I will iron it flat and make only one fold.
Any suggestions?

Are you tallking about their folded bias tapes?
FYI - I soaked some I bought last year in hot water - and it did shrink a couple of inches. It was cotton-poly blend, so I was a bit surprised.
If the color is what you want - it could be used.
Like you said, you might need to unfold it, press it, and fold it to suit your purpose.

That's exactly what I did. Ironed it for a center fold and used it doubled. It went on fine. Looked good and didn't shrink in the final wash. I sold the quilt and the lady seems fine with it. Which means I haven't heard back from her. I just needed it because I didn't have enough of that color left from the piecing. It worked and I may do it again.

My mom and I use it on our Double Wedding Ring quilts that she has made (2 so far and 3 more to go) because they have curves in them and I have never attempted to make bias binding. I have always cut my binding strips straight across the fabric, but that method won't work with curves because it doesn't give enough.
