2.5 Candy Birthday Swap - Closed/Full
#1322
Hey ladies I thought I would show this in case you are looking for Christmas gift ideas. This one is for Rhonda's 5th wall hanging swap but can be adapted for Christmas. It consists of 4 round quilted pieces, each one about 17" across. The piece can have any quilt pattern or applique on it (think a whirligig using the 60 degree triangle or a large motif). I am making a carrier strip that will have 5 buttons - 4 on the front and one on the back. The round pieces will be hung off the buttons with a ribbon loop. When all 4 are hung on the carrier strip, the piece can be used as a wall hanging. All 4 round pieces can be removed and used as placemats, and if someone needs a couple of table toppers, 2 can be removed and the strip brought up in the back so that it still acts as a wall hanging but the extra strip length is hidden. I will post more pictures when I get the carrier strip done. Its easy and versatile!

And I've mailed all but the December you emailed today. If people still haven't received them, please let me know. I asked my husband to mail them, and he said he did, but I'll go check his car to make sure they're not sitting there.
Also, I probably won't swap next year. I love it, but we're having some major problems with my 2-year-old son's health (he had one surgery last month and we are meeting with a surgeon in a couple of weeks to set up a new, major one.) So, I just don't have a lot of time to quilt, cut fabric, etc. But, I've loved swapping (and will of course follow through on this year's commitment through February.)
