2009 swaps
#1
I am looking for suggestions for 2009 fabric swap. Noodles or fat quarters.
Some thoughts I had was for April or May doing a spring clean up of noodles or fat quarters where you can send what ever with no quidelines other than washing and drying and FQ;s or noodles whichever is specified for that month.
Let me know here what you are thinking and we can work ideas through!!
Looking forward to 2009. November will be Christmas FQ's and there will be no swap for December as it will be a hectic month with the Holidays.
January 2009......Red Fat Quarters (getting ready for V-Day)
February 2009....Pastel colored noodles (Light pink, light purple these can have designs on them)
March................100 % Cotton Batiks Fat Quarters (any color...may be pricey...never bought any)
April..................Spring Cleaning noodles (any fabric choice you want or recycled noodles from previous swaps that you can't or won't use)
May...................Spring Cleaning fat quarter's (any fabric choice you want or recycled fat quarters from previous swaps that you can't or won't use)
June...................Fat quarters with metallic thread (any color)
July....................10" squares Can be any fabric as long as 100% cotton
August...............Halloween Fat quarters
Setember...........Novelty Fat quarter (for those I spyers out there!!)
October.............Blue Fat Quarters
November.........10" pink squares

Noodles are 2 1/2" strips that are cut bias to bias so they are between 40" and 44" long.
What about blenders? If everyone called a different color orange, yellow, blue, red, ect. we could end up with a nice pile of different colors at the end. Or maybe Bali and Batik? The only trouble there is that depending on where you live they are very expensive and some people might not want to trade (here it's $10.99 a yard depending on what I buy and where I shop)
I just loved how the white on white swap improved my selection of those fabrics (and now that I'm using it in a quilt I wish we could do it again, but I know it wasn't a very popular swap).
