Sorry about your mom, Barbara!
I tried the Double Wedding Ring with the 2.5" charms. I paper pieced the rings. I have never made a DWR block before , but it's always been on my bucket list. I rather like how it turned out! I don't know if it will turn into a whole quilt yet, or just a throw cushion.

NZ, that is lovely. It looks so easy when just one section is sitting in on the table. Would you share with the group where you got your paper piece pattern? Or if it is from a book, the name of the book. Thanks.

Hello everyone
I just opened up all my envelopes. Thank you everyone. All my packages are on time and look really good. Everyone did a good job packaging them. I would suggest wrapping your squares in plastic (most of you did) so that they don't fall out of the package and keep them orderly. Also the cling type wrap can be a challenge to take off of the squares without damaging them.
You all picked out lovely squares for me (someone gave me a crown, birthday party square and a sewing machine) and I hope everyone received as nice packages as I have.
Thanks for the extra goodies of candies, a mask, fabric quarters, homemade cards, and a gift card.
Thank you for making my birthday special.
Barb
PS... QuiltingLawyer I think you have the most creative way to package your candy squares by using leftover wedding invites!
PSS....LUM I think I will from your birthday card...love the ladder of quilts.

Happy Birthday to you, Barb!!!! Many happy returns of the Day!!! Been a little nuts around here.
Charming Addition quilt flimsy done. A Quilting Board swap a few years ago, finally put it together. It's a queen size. Thinking about red border, navy backing, and quilt-in-the-ditch quilting. Hope you like it.
Wow, they changed the program for adding photos, somebody please instruct me on how to down load the pic from Windows photos using the required URL! It used to be so easy to download pics here, except in PMs. HELP.
hugs,
dj

"The technique of paper piecing (sometimes called foundation paper piecing) uses a drawn or printed pattern as a base to stitch on directly, and can help you achieve complicated patchwork with perfect piecing."
Y seams are a complicated patchwork that paper piecing alleviates, for the most part. I took a short class & bought a book which I can't find at the moment. It was tricky for me but turned out alright. I find pinning & checking point joints as I go is easier.
Still need help downloading pictures. HELP

Well I promised a layout of the mini-charms Christmas tree and here it it. Not thrilled and will likely cut out some other greens for the tree. Yes, I know it is not centered. They are just laying on my design board and not sewn.Maybe mixing the red in the tree a little would help. There is always tomorrow.

DJ.
reply to a post. choose Go Advanced. Choose the paper clip icon for attachments. you will get a pop up window. the trick here is to maximize the screen. Choose your file under Browse and then make sure you click the upload button. If it doesn't accept the upload, then your file is too big. now you can close the window and hopefully it worked!
Good luck
