Boom 22 - 2 month group - Sooner

It is fun! We’ve just begun our swap. This one takes about three months to finish. Check out post #1 for details and follow along if you’d like. If it interests you, maybe you can participate in the next one. Welcome to the QB!

My F8s are on their way to you, Janice, as of this morning. Tracking number has been emailed to you. Sorry to hear that your Kenmore is ailing! Sure hope it's nothing drastic. The last time I cleaned mine on the inside, I put the bobbin case back in backwards. No way, no how would it sew! Had me sweating bullets until I got it figured out. She's purring now.
I'm going to start on this group first when our F8s come back to us. So ready for the fun to begin!
Jaba, I love your fabric.
L'il Chickadee, welcome to the board! Maybe you'll swap with us for Boom 23.

I was going to mail my fabrics off today but I heard on the radio of all of the accidents on the roads from the freezing rain that came down and we are suppose to get 1 to 4 inches of snow on top of that. Hopefully tomorrow I will have them in the mail.

The weather is bad here too, Queenbarbiej. I was hoping to do my full two-week grocery run, but turned around and headed back after the truck thermometer read 31°. It's bitterly cold and raining. I was afraid of it turning to sleet. Better to be safe at home than play games with the weather!
Janice, I mailed my package out and just emailed you the tracking number. The lady at the post office was admiring my fabric as I was addressing the envelope, so I explained to her about the swap. She thought it sounded like a lot of fun!

Thank You, Janice! Will gladly follow along. I like the idea of a swap where we'd get to do whatever block we chose with the fabrics. I'm not too sure about my keeping up with your group though. Make 19 blocks in two months? Go Sooners!!

We also have a 3 month group. The Laters. That group usually fills first. 19 in 2 months is completely doable for a lot of people. It’s not for everyone. I’ve done both but do prefer the 3 month. You’ll find it here: Boom 22, 3 month group - Later

Janice, mine are in the mail and sent you tracking. Glad you ladies like the fabric, I thought it would be fun to work with and make a pretty quilt too. Looking forward to the blocks you come up with, seems like they just get better every boom we have. I think maybe with all the blocks we make our skills just get better and better......not a bad thing at all

I think you're right, Jaba! I know mine have improved since my first boom swap.
Today the wool rug pad I ordered (for my ironing board) arrived! Yay. I love pressing on it! The only thing is they shorted me 2" in both directions from what I ordered. Couldn't get through on the phone, but I emailed them and asked them to send the right size asap. This one doesn't quite fit my board, tho I will use it until the other one comes.
My ironing board was so "hard"... this is really quite an improvement!
