Just wanted to let you all know that your blocks are still coming from elisabrat. She wanted me to let you know since she hasn't been on the board all week. She has had a small setback and is in the hospital but is on the recovery side and starting to feel much better. They won't let you plug in a computer there so she has no access to the internet until she gets home. She is hoping that they will release her this weekend, if not I will let you know her progress and keep you informed.

This is for ALL the boom members. Is it set in stone it has to be 4 months turn around for the blocks? Im not sure about the rest of you but I think 3 months would be more than enough time and we could get 4 in a year instead of 3!!! I know life gets in the way for some and that would be understandable but I think the majority of the members get the blocks done and back at least a month before the deadline...can we have discussions or is it a "set rule" for 4 months? I couldnt find it in the information Pat posted as a moderator. Thanks...just a question ....Ill stay in the swap no matter what the time limit is!

jaydee - I am loving your blocks. On the last block (brown/rust striped) which fabric did you send with it. And is that hand embroidered around it? I think it is so great how your different fabrics will mesh so well with the kokopelli (sp?). If you can - display them all together so we all can see how it is coming together. Gives me ideas for the next swap!!

Joan I agree with you and would like to see a shorter turn around time also. Maybe even if 2 of the groups were shorter time it would be so nice. I think some may just not sew because of the lengthy time but I like the blocks back faster. Just seems like sometimes it's drawn out and becomes forever. I'll always do the booms because I love them and when I want the quilt done I'll just sew it. If and when the other blocks come I make coordinating pillows and pillow cases or shams out of them. Maybe April can think about this for the future Boom swap. I am calling elisabrat tonight so will pass on all your thoughts and prayers.

Just checking in Happy easter to everyone (don't think I'll be on the rest of the weekend so sending it out now). Finished another block and have the pattern picked out for the next. Hoping to get on a good roll and start sending them out next week! I've received a couple F8ths and a block, will update that Monday or Tuesday.
