Billi such a lovely top. I’m going to copy it for my 9-patch blocks. I just love the layout. I plan to enlarge the pattern, by adding lots of extra rows. I just need to figure out how to make the center blocks, with the v 3-pieced Block. Any directions would be helpful. I’m also making a block for each different block I’m making, so I figure I will have about 200 blocks when I’m done. I won’t start finishing the top until End of July or beginning of August.

Feeling pretty good about how much I accomplished today regarding swap blocks. I've completed 49+ blocks. Hopefully, tomorrow will be as productive. Otherwise it will be a bit before getting back to sewing. Our younger daughter flies in tomorrow evening as a surprise to a very special cousin who is graduating soon. It will be a busy, fun-filled packed few days.

Billi, Great finished top! I just might use that pattern also. I’ve never made a tri-rec block. I’ll have to look for that ruler.
Whigrose, How excititing for your daughter to make a surprise visit. Graduation is a special time and getting together with family and friends is awesome. Enjoy your weekend!!

Billi! That's Grab And Sew? Unbelievable! It's great! I see some 9patches I sewed. :-)
I agonized over sewing my top... what fabric to use for the points, what fabric to use for the background, where to put which block... then ripped 9 blocks out because they looked wrong, then ripped some points off some blocks because a different fabric would be better, then replaced a 9Patch center on a block because the block I'd used wasn't pleasing me... You name it, my sewing was completely on the other end of the scale from GAS! lol
Our heat turned to humidity, then the humidity to a storm, and now a steady light rain. My top is pretty big, so I'd prefer to take a picture of it outdoors, so we can see all of it. I'll try to get a picture of my 3 columns on the weekend to show everyone. I'm half nervous about QAYG free motion because I haven't practiced much, and when I did, I hated what I did, and half excited because I want to finish this quilt myself rather than bring it to be LAed.
deb, I hope you'll post some pictures of your 9patches!
QuilterMomma, I think that a good contrast is more effective than fabric color or print coordination. Looking forwarding to seeing what you've got done!

Billi, your quilt is gorgeous! Givio, can't wait to see a picture of yours tomorrow!
I ditched the plan of using the hour glass blocks between the 9 patches, I was unhappy with my color choice. Today I made half square triangles in red and white and tomorrow I will make the blocks using the tri rec rulers. After seeing how beautiful Billi's quilt turned out, I knew that is how I wanted to finish mine too!

Wow, talk about finding this at the last minute!
I haven't done a block swap in ages; the last one is in a finished quilt. A few days ago I saw a 9-patch quilt that I really like, so I think I'll sign up!
Sending a PM right now. Thanks for organizing and for providing clear rules.
