Arrow Sewing Cabinets

Arrow Sewing Cabinets
I am thinking about buying an Arrow sewing cabinet, either the Sewnatra or Marilyn model. Has anyone purchased one of these cabinets? If so, what are your thoughts on the quality, the durability, the storage space, etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the Sewnatra by Arrow in May 2011 and love it. I put it together myself. Be careful with "Front Part E", the little upside down curve, as it is very delicate... ask me how I know, but the company replaced it for me. It is heavy enough that I do not have any "bounce" as you do on a fold-up table. The cabinet is easy to move around and takes up very little space in my guest/sewing room. When not in use, it looks nice too.

I purchased a small one with a lift for one of my machines (Bernina 130) and have been totally satisfied with it. I had no trouble putting it together and use the "universal insert" that came with it and just slide the sewing table on the Bernina over it. Works fine, and looks nice closed up in the corner. Shop around for prices............

I have an old (1990's) Singer Scholastic, that I bought only for repairs, but now regularly use for piecing quilts. My new Janome embroidery machine fits too. The lift-shelf should hold a reasonably heavy machine, but check the limits recommended by the manufacturer.

I had an Arrow cabinet for my embroidery machine for several years and was very happy with it. I think it was model 300. The only thing I did was to use some glue when putting the drawers together. They snap together just fine but I have a habit of overloading everything and felt that was prudent. If I hadn't gotten a combo deal with my machine and Horn cabinet last year, I would definitely have looked at Arrow again.

Well I did it, I took the plunge. I bought the Arrow Marilyn sewing cabinet. It was on sale another 10% off, saved $60. Couldn't help myself. Now I can sew upstairs when my hubby comes home. Merry Christmas to me.
