display wall
#25
My sewing room is in the basement, and the bottom half of the wall is made of stained, rough wood, the top half is painted drywall, framed by smaller pieces of the same wood.
I strung wire between the sections of one of the walls, running the wire through the springs on clothespins. Makes a wonderful display area for quilts in progress. Similar idea, but more clothespins and easier to DIY.

I added a strip of oak above my windows to use as an extra place to display works in progress. Nails spaced about 6 inches apart allow me to clothes pin my tops up to view.
I can take work up and down to sew. For me having a spot to display and view from a distance is nice.
I can see using a similar oak strip as a way to display finished work.
