Explore my sewing space!

Perhaps you can put something in front of your fabric on boards. I would be afraid of the front edges fading from the sunlight. That happened to me, so now I have a quilted cover hanging in front. Just a thought.

While I am jealous of your organized space, I was also excited to open your post and see we have the same Singer sewing machine. I just got mine for Christmas so I am still learning all it does- so far, I really like it but I haven't really tried all the specialty stitches. I just retired from my job and decided to learn how to quilt-thus, the new machine. I was reluctant to purchase a really expensive machine in case I got too frustrated with my new hobby and decided to quit. So far, I am really enjoying the machine and my new hobby. I particularly loooove buying fabric. What's your opinion of the Quantum?

Thank you everyone for the nice comments! I love coming to this board to "hang out" with like minded people!
Fortyniner- so far I love my quantum. I have had it for only about 5 months but I have sewn my heart out and quilted two quilts on it! No problems yet! Like you I haven't found the need yet to mess around with all of the 600 different stitch types yet my favorite features are the top load bobbin and the automatic thread cutter! I hope to someday in the future purchase a long arm machine to quilt on and use my quantum for piecing I taught myself how to sew and how to quilt on a Singer so purchasing another Singer seemed like a good purchase especially considering the price of the machine on Amazon! I hope you like your quantum!
