I am getting one made like this, too. The first thing I thought of when I saw it with the angled corners was, "This is exactly what I am having done to mine" So I don't have black and blue all over my legs. Thanks for sharing your great table.

I can tell you all that after 2 days of use this table is a keeper!! Thanks for all of your nice comments - I get excited all over again reading them.
My handyman stopped by today to let me know that in my excitement on Saturday I had written his check to myself! LOL. Then when I asked him about what size screws to attach some towel bars to hang my rulers at one end with S hooks he went out to his truck, grabbed his drill and attached them for me. Wow!
Our 21 year old daughters are best friends and so we've all become friends over the years through their activities. He is one of the most respected home builders in our area and loves working in his shop like we all love to quilt!

Love it! Looks great with the red. I wish I'd put mine on a base w/ casters; assembled, it's too heavy to move. Ikea is 5 hours from us, but DD lives near there, so we combined the trip with a visit. Best of both worlds.
Actually, it's probably a good thing I'm not closer to one, I'd be there too much.

I wonder if that would work in my sewing room...I have a nice set up, but still have boxes stacked with things that don't have a home. That might be enough storage to solve my problem...
Is the top and bottom a laminate with wood around the edges? Also are there locks on the casters so it doesn't move while cutting?

Here is a pic of the IKEA Bygel bars installed. I found the S hooks are too small for my rulers so until I get some larger ones I've got my tools that were within reach hanging there. I like it!

I too am green with envy. Looks like you could keep things really organized with this cutting table. LOVE IT!!!! But I think my sewing room is too small for one. I'm begging DH to break out the wall to the outside and add to the room to make it larger. Guess that's a pipe dream though.
