I love Billy bookcases! I have two, with solid lower doors in my office (filled with genealogy notebooks and other stuff) and have just bought one with full doors (top glass) for the guest room to store my fabric in. I have it in place (sans doors yet) and have been folding my fabric onto comic boards; hope to finish today. Not sure it will solve all my stash issues but will certainly help!
If I had the space, I'd copy your Billy bookcase scheme. Love all that shelf room!

The Billy bookcases I want are almost 8 feet tall (7-3/4'), that is the set
I want to get, so far getting that full set is the only way I can get that particular
grouping.
I COULD go with shorter, but than I won't have that added shelving in the height.
Plus one of the other "main" draws in this setup is that the shelves are only 7"
deep.

After many trips around different goodwill, city rescues,etc..I finally found a really nice cabinet with shelves on it for $25. It was by an expensive office furniture maker and I love it. But on the other hand what you have is matches and fits one another.

Ikea runs sales periodically. Keep watching. I got my shelving unit there on sale. And, it should be happening soon. As school and college is starting again soon. Do you have one near you where you don't have to ship?
