What a wonderful space to create in.
I noticed your ironing table (at least that is what I think you use it for) appears to be a folding table with a red cover. Did you just cover the table top or did you put a piece of plywood on top and then cover?

Nice place -- I have a question about your ironing table. I have one like that also but I only have a small ironing pad. I would like to make the whole table an ironing board.
Could you give a few more specifics about how you made the covers? With the silver ironing board fabric be enough to protect the plastic table top from warping?
Thanks for sharing!

I just cut both fabrics approximately 7" wider and longer on each side of the table. I sewed the corners like the fitted sheets (or the fabric boxes everyone was making). Serged the edges then zigzagged the elastic, I used 1/4", on the ends. Make this as tight as you can stand it and it will hold the tops in place. You could also run a casing all around the bottom, run the elastic through, then pull as tight as you want and tie it.
