Any Boston quilters been to the MFA lately?
The MFA is having an exhibition through July 27 on quilts and color featuring the collection of Pilgrim and Roy. I haven't been yet, plan to go sometime in June when my work schedule settles down.
The museum has free admission Weds evenings.

I can't wait to go. I'm a big Gerald Roy fan. I love his exhibits at the Vermont Quilt Festival each year. I've heard from some friends that it is not to be missed!!
I'm going soon I hope, but probably during the day so I have plenty of time.

The NEQM ran a busload of us in on Sunday May 5th. We had a blast and he gave us a personal 2 hour plus tour. We learned he was classically educated at the Worcester Art Museum so he has a totally different perspective than most quilters on color, theory etc. He described the various quilts and their side stories and at times it was difficult to move since the news traveled that he was speaking and lots of people joined to hear what he was saying. At the end we sang happy birthday (one day late) and gave him a gift. It was a spectacular day!
