Bentonsport Iowa Quilt retreat

Where: The Mason House B&B in Bentonsport Ia.
When: Friday Sept 24 to Sunday Sept 26
Limit: 12 quilters

Bring your own projects to work on if you like.
I am going to do some demonstrations. If there is anything you might like me to address just let me know.

Accomadations
are the responsibility of each quilter.
The B&B has 9 rooms available but if you know you are coming the earlier you can reserve a room the better. I can't reserve them ahead cause I would have to pay for all the rooms and can't do that.

There are also a couple of motels within 6 miles of Bentonsport. The prices at Hotel Manning are a bit less than the B&B if that is an option you might want.

Food
The B&B will provide a sandwich lunch or I can provide lunch.
There are restaurants in the area if we want to go that way for suppers. This would be a group decision.
You are welcome to bring any food you would like if you want snacks or drinks etc. I will provide some soft drinks and bottled water.

My favorite quilt shop is 16 miles from Bentonsport and I would like to take everyone there. It is not like the usual quilt shop. It is a mennonite store at Cantril Iowa. They sell groceries / household items/toys/shoes/and quilting supplies. The fabrics they sell are ones I haven't seen in the other quilt shops. But the quality is good.

Internet service is available at the B&B not sure about the Hotel.

I'm in! Calling the B&B now...

My daughter and I will be there, and are already planning the project to bring. The featherweights will be oiled and ready...

Can you tell I am excited? I so want to meet others from the board! It will be a grand time.
