"Goin' to Kansas City..for the KC REgional Quilt Fest"?
Hey all--just an FYI--if you are headed to KC next week for the Kansas City Regional Quilt Fest at Overland Park Convention Center, June 15-17--couple of tips
shuttle parking from Shawnee Mission South High School (107th & Lamar) will be all 3 days from the start of classes until the end (before & after show times)
The Black & Veatch Engineering Co. parking lot will be available both Fri & Sat.
unlike the first one in 2015, there are many more food vendors tucked in both the upstairs, the walkway between the convention center and the Sheraton Hotel, and the downstairs class area. Some classes will be in the Sheraton meeting area, too
unless you are bringing your featherweight for the maintenance class, machines are provided (despite the paper piecing class using Judy Niemeyer pattern saying you need to bring your machine).
there is a bag check room so you don't have to lug things around.
There are two demo areas and many vendors are doing demo's
the weather is forecast to be hot--upper 80's-90--which also means humid in this area. But hey--don't like the weather? wait 10 minutes--it's Kansas and it will change! (so far no rain predicted though!)
hope to see you there! my guild is hanging quilts all afternoon/evening on Tues and all day Wed and taking down on Sat. so I'll be there all 5 days! Woohoo!

I will be there. I am so excited. Three friends and I are leaving on Saturday and spending Tuesday and Wednesday at Missouri Star Quilt Co. (we already have our tickets for Jenny Doan's trunk show Wednesday night) and will be at the KC show on Thursday before we head back to Arizona. Should be fun, fun, fun.
