Quilters Lunch
Yesterday I had a very delightful lunch at Chick-Fil-A with "Jean45" whom I met on this Board. We both live in Greenville, SC, and enjoyed the visit so much. Ironically, her husband works where my husband retired from in 2009, so besides our quilting, there was a lot more to discuss. I know of two other Quilting Board girls who live in the general area of Greenville, and we thought we would have another lunch with hopefully all four of us, and anyone else who can make it to Greenville for a lunch in the near future. Quilting Board members are so much fun. Any other South Carolinians who would be interested, please PM me. By the way, we aren't that far from northeast Georgia, and western North Carolina either, if interested.

How nice that you were able to meet a board member and hope it works out that you can meet the other two. I had the pleasure of meeting Pickle last summer and we hope to have lunch again this fall.

I thought I had made contact with a local quilter too. but it looks like she may have been part of the group at the senior center and didn't like me. No further contact..... sigh.....I guess you can not please everybody. Ilike the ladies there, but I am not an early bird (worked swing shift too long) and they start at 8 am to noon. so I don't get there too often. I am still fairly new to piece qulting and am pretty much self taught and I cannot afford lessons. I have picked up some pointers on the days I get to the center.
