I wanted to share two "old " quilts of mine...
The first is on my bed. It's the wedding quilt my mother made for us almost 22 years ago. When we got married my mother told me to choose a pattern and fabric and she'd make whatever we wanted ....I chose a sampler and picked the fabrics and she got busy............soon after my brother got married and Mom figured she could have it actually done by his wedding so my brother wound up with my wedding quilt. She told me again to choose a quilt again and I knew she didn't want to make the same quilt twice in a row, so I chose this pattern, a replica of one she had made when I was a child.....
The second one is an angel wallhanging my older sister made for me. I was very ill back in the 90's and had to have multiple surgeries...my sister made this for me telling me that she felt I could use some angels looking over me. Little did I know that she herself would become very ill and die not too long after she gave this to me.....I finally got it hanging up again this week and it's in my sewing area where I can see it every day.

Beautiful quilts! So nice to have them given to you and the memories.
I made my sister one when she was ill, I had planned on bring it home with me when she passed, but meet her neighbor who took the summer off to spend with my sister and I gave it to her. We lived across the country from each other.

The blue and white quilt is absolutely gorgeous. Love the quilting around the hearts, love that she fussy cut all those flowers and love the entire color combination. To me, it is an exceptionally beautiful quilt. :D
