2nd UPDATE: Black/White/Red Quilt....
Thanks to the people on this board giving me ideas, hints, pictures etc to get my brain to understand how to do this quilt...and the push to keep doing it on point. I did get to know Mr.Ripper much much better...he only poked me once, the little naughty guy...... but in his defense...I did give him a real work out also. I could not wait until I had it 100% completed to show you. I tried to get a better picture of the borders, but our room was just to dark for it and the other beds I don't have enough room to stand back far enough...so I had to fold it and just lay it on the couch to get a pic of the borders...
Now the task to sandwich it....then the worse part... how to tie the quilt as to not take away from the beauty of it all. I am way to new of a quilter (plus I do not have a walking foot) to be able to SID or anything like that.. so wish me luck..
Thanks everyone for all your comments and help...

What an absolutely lovely job you did on the quilt -- it looks wonderful! You should feel very proud!
Mom-6's idea is what I would do, too - the ties belong on the back so as not to take away from the front of the quilt. But I'd err on the side of caution and over-do the ties so you make sure the batting doesn't shift and bunch inside the quilt -- if it says quilt up to 4", I'd make sure those ties are at the very most, every 3", or even 2", and that they match the front of the quilt colors. Please show the finished product when you're all done - I can't wait to see the final product --- maybe on a clothesline?? Love it!
