No, I made a lot of adjustments to the pattern.
The problem I had with the pattern is that it wasn't very exact. That is fine if you don't have sections that need to fit together. There were 3 of us working together and we still had problems.

yep, to much guess work if you go by the pattern. My sister and I set down and scratched out heads and figured out some measurments. I also didn't applique the star spins on the corners. I figured out and set them in the quilt. didn't put the hexagon border around the center either. LOL

What a nice idea. Great to see all the quilt pics. My one is from a book called 40 Fabulous quilts by Evelyn Sloppy.

I just did one two days ago. You do it just like you did your avatar.
Just WOW Miss Mona! That is a stunning quilt! I'll bet it fetched big bucks for the worthy cause!

If your avatar pic is a quilt - please post a bigger pic along with the name and designer of the block. A link to directions you used might be nice as well. I am asking because due to the small size of the avatar pics it is sometimes difficult to pick out all the detail and identify the pattern. Thanks in advance for participating - can't wait to see your pics!!
Thanks for asking for this, the quilts are fabulous and so interesting.

    Blessings,

More than 3000 yards of thread for the stippling on the back and the fabric cost more than what we received, less than $200. But I think the one who won it put it into a cancer center in Chicago. It was still well worth my time.

I loved going through this thread today. I wanted to go to a quilt show this weekend, but there none around here. Now I feel like I have been to one. I am just amazed at the variety. Beautiful!

Miss Mona, a work of art like that needs more of a 'national' audience/auction....it's worth a lot more than $200.00! There needed to be a 1 in front of the 2 , in my opinion! Perhaps a sign of the financial times? At least it was donated to a cancer center in Chicago.

My quilt is called "Hearts Afire." I designed it myself and it was published in Quiltmaker Jan/Feb 2008, Issue #119, and it was republished in a German magazine just this Spring. It is paper-pieced and there are NO STRAIGHT lines.
