B&W Scrappy Quilt, Made by a Quilter who doesn't like B&W Quilts.
I made this queen-size quilt to give to my niece at Christmas. She specified she wanted a black and white quilt to match her house decor. I don't like B&W quilts, so I used a variety of scrappy fabrics--which I do love. The back of the quilt is more colorful, so it is reversible.
I "invented" the pattern based on a quilt I saw in a quilting magazine advertisement. I used the Cotton Theory method to sew it together. I did FMQ in the large strips, and I must say that my FMQ ability is improving about 1% for every 100 hours I practice. bwahahaha! I have only made 6 quilts, so I can can see a bit of progress.
My niece and I are both CPAs, so the message on the label is a subtle accounting joke.

Very nice! Are those numbers I see in the sashing strips?? LOL ! Excellent choice due to your professions. Your attention to detail is wonderful; I assume a characteristic of being a CPA!! My DD is one too. Thanks for sharing your great quilt!
