I am still fairly new to this board and finally have some pics to share. I started quilting about a year and a half ago and made this quilt for my grandson. I ordered a kit, thinking it would be simple...... ha :!: I soon found out there's ALOT to learn about quilting and I have found my passion. I have improved since this quilt and hope to continue to. Here's the quilt that began it all! Sorry I posted on someone elses subject. :?

He's crazy over it. But I took a class right after I did this and just the first class would have helped me do a MUCH better job. I remember when the directions told me to "fussy cut", WHAT? I went strait to the computer to find out what that meant? There are many mistakes, I knew nothing about lining thing up, except what I figured out on my own. I have thought about making another one just to see the difference, but I have so many other things I want to do. I have made him a Monster Truck rag guilt since then and have on my fabric waiting list a choo choo train applique quilt. He can't wait. I always let him sew a litte on each quilt I make him. The litlle bugga butt is four and usually spends one night a weekend with me and we have fun.(He and his mom lived with me for the first three and a half years of his life, and now they only live 8 tenths of a mile from me. I pick him up from day care every day and she picks him up from me, so we still spend lots of quality time together. We did lots of things this past weekend, including looking at quilting books. When he got ready to leave he said one of his favorite things we did (and we played too) was looking at the quilting books! Maybe a future quilter :?:  :!:
